Maulers

Aasha: Alpha of her litter and sister of Brutyss and Foyss. She has black fur with bright golden eyes. She has many scars but the one that defines her the most is the scar that runs down the center of her skull between her ears and eyes. She is short in stature but very muscular.

Ammer: Son of Haxzus and alpha of his siblings, Rellik and Druce. Being groomed to take his father’s place as Alpha of the Maulers.

Attaboye: A retired Watcher that Terrabyss chooses for his second. He has smokey fur and intense bronze eyes.

Attawoolf:  One of Attaboye’s sons and a Watcher.

Bakcur: An alpha of a Watcher group.

Balt: Watcher and brother of Narz. One of few Maulers that used actual weapons. He has black-colored fur and gold eyes with a few scars that crisscross his arms. He is of average height with a lean and agile build.

Bia: Mother of Tarphyss, Numa, Skoff, and Terrabyss.
 
Brutyss: Very adaptable and quick thinking, and the sibling to Aasha and Foyss. He has remarkable endurance and is very agile by Mauler standards. He has black fur with orange eyes and has no distinguishing scars. He is considered short, although taller than his sister and brother but much leaner than Aasha.

Calmus: Sickly looking Mauler who is part of the same Watcher pack as Terrabyss, serves as the alpha’s lackey. He has black fur with bronze-colored eyes. Stands only a few inches taller than Terrabyss, making him short. He has a compact torso with gangly limbs, which add to his frail appearance.

Cycyss: Sister to Zelyss and a member of Unkyss’ pack for the Hunt. Has an extremely good sense of smell, even among Maulers. She has black fur with a white collar and polished brass eyes. She has no distinguishing scars, and is of average height with a lean build.

Dardyl: Only child and part of the Barque pack; technically the alpha, but she never claims the title. She has black fur and, like Numa who she respects, she uses beeswax to make her head and neck fur stand on end. She has orange eyes and a few scars, and she is average in height but very muscular.

Delthyn: Scout that Numa places in charge while she goes hunting for Hanora.

Devyss: Retired hunter that worked with Terrabyss in the Raid.

Druce:  Runt of the Ballio pack and enjoyed a pampered life.

Essall: A senior Scout who is superstitious. She didn’t want to be like her brothers and decided not to have a pack of her own, joining the Scouts at the same time as Jabyn. Has feelings for both Jabyn and Skoff, and is a bit abrasive. She has light black fur with gray highlights around her muzzle, eyes, and peppering her torso. She has dull orange eyes and is of average height and weight.

Foyss: Sibling of Brutyss and Aasha. Runt of his litter and enjoys a pampered life, like Druce. He has smokey black fur that covers his head and tail, but the rest of his body is solid black. He has yellow eyes, but they are very faded, making him appear sickly. He has no scars, is short and slightly pudgy.

Gentra: Runt of the Mallmee pack and sibling to Oryss and Suskyss. She has light black fur with yellow eyes and a few scars. She keeps the fur along her head braided. She is short and lean, which isn’t uncommon for most runts.

Groth: Retired Watcher and chosen to work with Terrabyss during the Raid.

Hanora:Mate of Haxzus and the alpha Hunter. The mother of Ammer, Rellik, and Druce. She has light black fur that has gone mostly gray, and deep amber eyes.

Haxzus: Alpha of the Mauler tribe, son of Grimmis, and patron of the Ballio bloodline. He has black fur with bright gold eyes and numerous scars that crisscross his body, with a very distinct scar that runs from his left ear to the bicep of his left arm. He is slightly taller than most Maulers and is of average weight.

Hown: Kiltra’s mate and Dardyl’s father.

Ilkyss: Retired Scout.

Jabyn: Seasoned Scout and very close with Essall. Bonded with Numa when her father passed away the same winter as Bia. She is the last of her pack. She has jet black fur with bronze eyes and has six significant jagged scars that run down her back when she was attacked by a saber cat. Like Essall, she is of average height and is lean in stature.

Kellij: The alpha of his litter, part of the Returin bloodline and the leader of the hunting pack that Rellik was a member of. He has black fur with light brown fur around his eyes. He has yellow eyes and numerous small scars crisscross his body. He is of average height and muscular.

Kiltra: Hown’s mate and mother of Dardyl.

Klain: An only pup and self-proclaimed alpha. Has trouble following orders and a rotten personality. Member of Unkyss pack in the Hunt. He has black fur, but it lacks luster and has yellow-green eyes, almost sickly. He is short, with an actual humpback, and thin.

Maxyss: Member of both the Elder and Invasion Council. Beta Hunter under Hanora and elevated to Prime Hunter. He has graying black fur with yellow eyes that have milky streaks from an injury during his first Hunt and he is tall and lean among Mauler standards.

Molken: Member of the hunting pack that Brutyss led during the Hunt.

Narz: Balt’s brother and one of the Watchers that was a member of Oryss’ pack. He has black fur and yellow eyes, with a few scars that run along his arms, and is of average build and height.

Nayla: A runt that died during a stampede in Terrabyss’ Hunt.

Nomi: Guard, chosen by Terrabyss to support the right flank during the Raid.

Numa: Scout Mother and unofficial alpha of the Ravis pack. She has black fur, and uses blood-dyed beeswax in her collar to make it stand on end, to make her appear larger than she is. It also makes her look like she is always fresh out of a fight. She has orange eyes and many scars, although her most notable one runs down her left ribs. She is short but very muscular.

Oflyn: Skrimshander for Skoff and an elder. Known for making very detailed and exaggerated fertility statues.

Oulyss: Litter alpha and member of Unkyss’ pack for the Hunt. He has black fur with yellow eyes, has several scars, and is tall and muscular. Missing his left ear from a Gorgel attack.

Oryss: From the Mallmee pack, and alpha of the Watcher pack that Balt, Narz, Calmus, and Terrabyss belonged to. Has onyx-colored fur with amber eyes and scars along his biceps and chest. Muscular and of average height.

Phier: Member of Brutyss’ pack during the Hunt.

Phylyss: Dardyl’s grandmother.

Rellik: Haxzus’ only daughter and very neglected by both of her parents. She has charcoal gray fur and one bright gold eye with a dull amber eye. Few scars and of average height but a bit lean for a Mauler.

Rymmall: Previous Scout Mother before Numa and one of the members of the invasion council.

Skoff: Current shaman of the Maulers, trained by Grimmis. Numa and Terrabyss’ sibling, and extremely flamboyant. He loves wearing colorful ponchos and usually carries a gnarled wood staff that has an assortment of bones and teeth tethered to it. He has jet black fur with yellow eyes, and has few scars. The largest runs horizontal to his sternum and across the pectoral. He is short and thin, not very muscular.

Snard: Retired Watcher.

Suskyss: Part of the invasion council, but chose to have a family and live in the outer grove. She has black fur and yellow eyes, no scars, and is average height and lean, but very strong.

Tarphyss: The alpha of Terrabyss’ litter.
 
Terrabyss: Runt of his pack, which includes Tarphyss, Numa, and Skoff. Has burgundy fur that usually looks black. His eyes are a mixture of red and yellow, which makes them appear bloodshot or rusted. He has numerous scars, but none that he boasts about. He is shorter than any adult Mauler but is also the strongest.

Ulvoue: A young adult Mauler that Numa likes to spend time with.

Unkyss: Last surviving member of the Sabor pack. He is extremely tall and becomes good friends with Terrabyss. Has an extremely deep voice, and has black fur with yellow eyes and several scars. Along with his giant size, he is extremely muscular.

Vockyss: Scout that assisted Terrabyss during the Raid.

Wolg: Part of Brutyss’ pack for the Hunt.

Worg: Part of Rellik’s hunting pack and part of an outer grove pack. He has black fur and has dark brown eyes with flecks of green. Has a few scars and is of average height and weight.

Zelyss: Member of Brutyss’ hunting pack and Cycyss’ brother and litter alpha.
